Hi! My name is Mo.
Or at least that’s what most folks affectionately call me. My full name is Andrew Molina, but how many Andrews have you met? There were 5 in my high school class…
I started Chispa after a long journey through “promised lands.” I have two engineering degrees from Stanford along with Google and Palantir on my resume. During my time in these institutions hailed as markers of success, I really had to wrestle with all the forces influencing me towards pre-defined paths I “should” take - for money, for security, for safety - and that little voice inside of me quietly pointing towards something different, something uniquely my own.
Chispa is my desire to help others wrestle those same forces in favor of the little voice inside them. To strengthen and empower those little voices that know how to guide us towards work that is more fulfilling and values-aligned. My unique set of seemingly-disconnected choices sets me up well for this work.
Prior to Chispa, I was a curriculum designer at Stanford’s d.school where I learned to craft intentional and effective learning experiences around creative risk-taking and teamwork. I’m also currently a facilitator for Stanford GSB’s Interpersonal Dynamics course where I hold space for folks to explore their interpersonal influence. Finally, I’m a Meisner-trained actor. The combination of these experiences allow me to create an effective learning container for folks, cross-pollinate ideas from different schools of thought and practice, and help folks better understand what they want from this thing we call “work.”
